2018 CABERNET FRANC – DRY CREEK VALLEY:

Varietal Composition:  100% Cabernet Franc

The Vineyard:  This wine is made from our block of Cabernet Franc located at the very top of Bradford Mountain.  With excellent rootstock and clone selections, perfect microclimate and classic red mountain-top soil, these Cabernet Franc grapes consistently develop wonderful flavors.

Fermentation:  The grapes were crushed into small fermenters.  After cold-soaking for three days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.

Cooperage / Aging:  The wine was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels (30% new).

Sensory Notes:

Color:  Deep ruby

Aromas:  Rich aromas of dark plum and blueberry, with notes of pepper.

Palate:  Concentrated flavors of dark fruit, lush mouthfeel and long fruit finish.

2018 REVEZ EN ROUGE PLATINUM – DRY CREEK VALLEY:

Varietal Composition:  34% Cab Franc, 33% Cab Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 11% Merlot, 11% Malbec

The Vineyard:  This PLATINUM COLLECTION “Rêvez en Rouge” Red Wine showcases the depth of flavor that our estate vineyards can produce.  Nine barrels of the finest red wines from our benchland and mountaintop blocks were blended to create this optimum expression of Bordeaux-style red wine flavor.

Fermentation:  The grapes were crushed into small fermenters.  After cold-soaking for three days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.

Cooperage / Aging:  Aged for 21 months in finest “tight-grain” French oak barrels (50% new).

Sensory Notes:

Color:  Dark ruby

Aromas:  Dark plum, blackberry, black currant, rich spice

Palate:  Elegant structure, rich mouthfeel, long finish of dark fruit


2017 BLOQUE LOCO CABERNET SAUVIGNON:

Varietal Composition:  100% Cab Sauvignon

The Vineyard:  This wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the “Bloque Loco” block just to the west of our winery.  The “Loco” spacing of the rows, alternating three and six feet apart causes the vines’ roots to compete, and results in richer denser flavors in the grapes.

Fermentation:  The grapes were crushed into small fermenters.  After cold-soaking for three days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.

Cooperage / Aging:  The wine was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels (50% new).  Individual barrels were selected and blended for optimum expression of flavor and structure for this wine

Sensory Notes:

Color:  Dark ruby

Aromas:  Rich aromas of dark plum and blackberry.

Palate:  Very rich mouthfeel, concentrated dark fruit flavors of plum and blackberry.
