Varietal Composition: 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, 2% Cabernet Franc
The Vineyard: Made from grapes grown on a small hillside vineyard at the southern edge of Alexander Valley, this densely flavorful Cabernet has rich characteristics of black currant and dark plum. Components of our estate Syrah and Cabernet Franc complement the fruit, structure and depth of this wine.
Vintage: Moderate summer and fall temperatures made for a very long ripening season. During this long “hang time” there was no appreciable rainfall, and the flavors were allowed to fully develop.
Harvest: Oct 23rd, 2012 Average brix: 27.2 pH: 3.56 TA: 0.67 g/100ml

Cooperage / Aging: The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (35% new).
